UK Brexit
HYMN
Lord the light of Your love is
shining
In the midst of the darkness,
shining
Jesus, Light of the world, shine
upon us
Set us free by the truth You now
bring us
Shine on UK, Shine on UK
Chrous - Shine, Jesus, shine
Fill this land with the Father's
glory
Blaze, Spirit, blaze, Set our
hearts on fire
Flow, river, flow
Flood the nations with grace and
mercy
Send forth Your Word, Lord And
let there be light
Lord, we come into Your awesome
presence
From the shadows into Your
radiance
By the blood we may enter Your
brightness
Search us, try us, consume all
our darkness
Shine on UK, Shine on UK
Repeat chorus
As we gaze on your kingly
brightness
So our faces display your
likeness
Ever changing from glory to
glory
Mirrored here may our lives tell
your story
Shine on UK, shine on UK
Repeat chorus
- May under fire: Prime Minister faces BOOING (disapproval) at conference in Brexit backlash.
- Brexiteers are set to protest over Mrs May’s Chequers’ blueprint on Britain exiting the EU when the party meets in Birmingham next month.
- Bitter in-fighting has broken out in Conservative ranks, with Leave supporters furious at Philip Hammond’s recent claim that a no-deal would be bad for Britain’s economy.
- The Chancellor said Britain’s GDP could drop by up to 10 per cent if Britain leaves the EU without a deal.
- Mrs May could now face outright mutiny when party members convene in Birmingham, with a prominent Brexiteer MP warning she could be slow hand-clapped during her speech.
- “It’s becoming increasingly obvious to Conservative supporters that we need a new PM to rescue Brexit, and rescue our country and our party.
- “All right-minded colleagues should put in no-confidence letters now to force out Mrs May.
- “if she somehow manages to cling on, then at the Conservative conference she faces the prospect of real humiliation when she meets the party faithful.”

Lately, there are lots of
speculations about Brexit, UK moving out of EU which poses challenges: Trade (restriction
on both export and import), Migration, Divorce Bill (based on spending
commitment and communal budget between UK and EU), Rights of Citizen
In one of her major speech, the
Prime Minister said there was “no escaping the complexity of the task ahead” as
she accepted “tensions” in the British negotiating position and detailed the
costly new systems needed to maintain post-Brexit trade.
Speaking to an audience of Tory
cabinet ministers, business people and diplomats, Ms May said: “I want to be
straight with people – because the reality is that we all need to face up to
some hard facts.”
“We are leaving the single
market. Life is going to be different. In certain ways, our access to each
other’s markets will be less than it is now.”
She also admitted that after
withdrawal the UK will have less access to EU markets, will be affected by the
European Court’s judgments and must commit to staying in step with some
Brussels rules.
PRAYERS
But in all these we can only cry
to God for help, He that have total victory in His domain
Rom 8:37 “No, in all these
things we have complete victory through him who loved us!”
Phil 4:6 “Do not be anxious or
worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by
prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific]
requests known to God.”
- Thank you Lord, in all of these happenings concerning Brexit, that you'll give us an overwhelming victory.
- Lord we not worried about anything, No matter how gloomy and fierce the situation may be, you are God all by yourself, please glorify yourself.
Negotiations on Brexit is still
on-going
Ps 19:8 “The precepts of the
LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart;
The commandment of the LORD is
pure, enlightening the eyes.”
- Lord give the negotiators the understanding of the mind, let the eyes of their heart be enlightened, for right counsel, understanding and guidance
Jam 3:17 “But the wisdom from
above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and
willing to yield to others.”
- For Theresa May and the members of the parliaments; Lord we pray for divine wisdom that is pure, morally and spiritually undefiled, peace-loving, courteous and considerate, gentle and reasonable, full of compassion, unwavering without self-righteous or self-serving but actively encouraging peace and goodwill
- Theresa May: In this howling storm of Brexit, help her to do what is right, give her confidence, speak in the accent she understand, help to follow your lead
