UK SPIRITUAL CLIMATE

HYMN: Shout to the Lord all the earth

When we talk about climate, we are inferring to the atmosphere, so when we talk about Spiritual climate, what we are referring to is the Spiritual Atmosphere of either a person or a geographical area or environment. This afternoon we are going to intercede about the Spiritual atmosphere of UK.

We would be looking at the state, whether it is Cold or Hot. The bible says “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other, so because you are lukewarm neither hot no cold i am about to spit you out of my mouth” Revelations 3:15-16

History has it recorded that UK has a Christian background/foundation.

If I can take your memory back a couple of years, it was in the news that our young daughters were being handed early morning pills at the entrance of their schools every morning. Christian Mothers were called to prayer, it was treated with levity, Now the serpent in Genesis is gradually turning to a Dragon now in the Nation.

It is no more news that in our schools the inscription on toilet doors “Boys”, “ Girls” is now a thing of the past, Boys are now allowed to wear skirts as part of their uniform. Our children are now informed that they can decide to be whatever they wish; boys can decide to be girls and vice versa.

UK has become a nation that is comfortable with marrying two people of same sex in marriage, and in some cases, any officiating minister that refuses to do this could be punished for that. This happens not in Mosques, Sikh temples, Buddist worship centres but in the Church of God.

The temple of the Lord has been desecrated, it would shock you to witness comedians using the Pulpit as stages to crack jokes even with the name of Jesus and custodians of the Pulpit sit back to laugh over it, no more reverence to the name of God.

It is now out of vogue for our maidens to marry as virgins, sex before marriage is the in thing, the order of the day, our young ones now share apartments before marriage, for financial reasons. (Even children from Christian homes).

Our youth now move en-mass from bible believing and bible teaching assemblies to ministries that allow ad condone all sorts of adamic behaviours i.e where they are allowed to drink alcohol, take time off service to have a fag(cigarette).

Our youth are now at liberty to wear Rags, the females wear clothes that show their cleavage etc, they are not encouraged to live kingdom lifestyle, the few that are remnants are looked down upon, they are not fashionable.

It is written that “Since these people refused even to think about God, He let their useless minds rule over them, that is why they do all sorts of indecent things” Romans 1:28

Ministers climb pulpits to give sermons on immorality, meanwhile he has a glorified prostitute in the house, has a transgender youth in the home, his or her children are members of gangs etc What happened to 1st timothy 3:4-5”One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity. For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God”  

With all the above scenarios and many more happening in the UK, it is not difficult to ascertain what the Spiritual climate of the Nation is.

PRAYERS:

·      Genesis 1:1-3. In the beginning the world was created and darkness was over the surface of the earth. The Spirit of God hovered over it, and God said “Let there be light”

Let us pray for UK that in the thick of the darkness, that the Spirit of God which represents light should hover over the land.

·      Pray that the people in this nation, men, women, millenials, youth, children, as many who are yet to have an encounter with Calvary, let us stand in the Gap for them that they will hearken to the voice of the Holy Spirit when He comes knocking at the door of their heart.

·      Let us pray that every leader in every facet of governance will become a tool in the hands of God, they will make themselves available to support the propagation of the Gospel and help to return UK to her old Glory spiritually.

·      Lord raise up Pauls in UK.

·      Lord let UK have a Pentecost experience, let the Power fall.
