Political State Of UK

The United Kingdom which comprises of Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland is a sovereign Nation, which was established by the acts of union 1800 with London as the Capital city.

This is a nation that was founded on Christian background so much so that a version of the Holy bible was named after one of the Monarchs of the UK; King James bible.

The United Kingdom is a Unitary state within the framework of a parliamentary democracy under a constitutional monarchy, in which the monarch, currently Queen Elizabeth 11, is the head of State, while the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is Boris Johnson, who exercises Executive Power. The legislative comprises of the Upper and Lower house, the House of Lords and the house of Commons.

The constitution of the United Kingdom is uncodified, being made up of constitutional conventions, statutes and other elements such as the EU law etc

Presently the issue that is upper most in the hearts of both the Political leaders and the citizens is the BREXIT issue, as it were now, A law designed to stop a no deal Brexit on 31st of October has been passed, Parliament is currently suspended until 14th October, though this is being challenged in the courts. As it were now it is obvious that the Nation is in a state of confusion, as to whether to go for a new deal, a no deal etc

In all of this it is evident that a life, Nation without Christ would always be in Crisis, and that is essentially the state of UK, since Christ was deleted from the equation everything has being going pear shaped. “A nation without God’s guidance is a nation without order. Happy are those who keep God’s law” Proverbs 29:18

United Kingdom’s Political leader in the person of Queen Elizabeth 11, is meant to be the custodian of the Bible but unfortunately it is not so, and this has allowed the infiltration of the Nation with several strange gods.

The nation that sent out missionaries to various parts of the world is now experiencing empty pews on Sundays, talk less of other days of the week. Christianity has now been relegated to the background while other religions are thriving. And this is happening on our watch!!!

Basically, most of us have mixed up the reason why God made it possible for us to be in this nation, It is not mainly for Economic reasons, we are here to reconcile the people back to Calvary, and if we don’t succeed we would have failed God.

We are going to pray this afternoon that God would in His mercy restore this nation, let Mercy say no to judgement, by reason of what their forefathers did in the past.

PRAYERS

·      Brethren let us cry unto the Lord for mercy, on behalf of UK, that the lord will visit this Land and restore it.” If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14

·      Let us thank God for the UK, all her citizens, especially the monarch and her family members, all those in authority in various organizations, business etc “I exhort therefore that, first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior”1Timothy 2:1-3

·      Pray that the Leaders in every spheres of life in UK who are yet to encounter Calvary, and as many who are still playing church (Religious) that Calvary will collude with them, Divinity will meet with humanity in their lives, such that they will not be able to resist the Good news of what Jesus did for them on the Cross

·      Pray for the wisdom of God to permeate the leaders, so that they will allow God in their lives and decisions.” Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom” Proverbs 4:7a

·      Pray that the Righteousness of God will reign and rule in UK, no more half-truths, no more political correctness, let truth reign in Jesus name

·      Pray that the Lord will rend the heavens over UK, that UK will experience a Revival Spiritually that will also affect the Political state of the Nation, which will stop ungodly laws etc (LGBT, SAME SEX MARRIAGES ETC)

·      Pray that the Lord will be Enthroned again in UK.

·      Let us begin to thank God for answered Prayers.
