Post-Brexit

Hymn:

O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home:

Under the shadow of thy throne,
Thy saints have dwelt secure;
Sufficient is thine arm alone,
And our defense is sure.

Before the hills in order stood,
Or earth received her frame,
From everlasting thou art God,
To endless years the same.

A thousand ages in thy sight
Are like an evening gone;
Short as the watch that ends the night
Before the rising sun.

Time, like an ever-rolling stream,
Bears all its sons away;
They fly, forgotten, as a dream
Dies at the opening day.
O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Be thou our guide while troubles last,
And our eternal home!

Ps 90:1-2 “Lord, You have been our dwelling place [our refuge, our sanctuary, our stability] in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were born Or before You had given birth to the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are [the eternal] God.” (the prayer of Moses)

Ex 13:17-18, 20-22 “When Pharaoh let the people go, God led them not by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was nearer; for God said, Lest the people change their purpose when they see war and return to Egypt. 18 But God led the people around by way of the wilderness toward the Red Sea. And the Israelites went up marshaled [in ranks] out of the land of Egypt.

20 They journeyed from Succoth and encamped at Etham on the edge of the wilderness. 21 The Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. 22 The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night did not depart from before the people.

·       Father lead and guide our path in this journey
·       Let your light shines
·       Lord you lead the Isrealites out of Egypt to serve, take Britain to your original plan for her
·       Both the leaders and the inhabitants, help us to follow your leading no matter how hard and foolish it may appear (1Cor 1:25)

TAF Retreat 2020:

Mark 4:10, 13, 2Chr 5:13-14, Ex 40:35
As soon as He was alone, those who were around Him, together with the twelve [disciples], began asking Him about [the interpretation of] the parables. 13 then he said to them......... (he explained)

13The trumpeters and singers joined together to praise and thank the LORD with one voice. …..... Then the temple, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud 14 so that the priests could not stand there to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.

Ex 40:35-34Then the cloud [the Shekinah, God’s visible, dwelling presence] covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory and brilliance of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35 Moses was not able to enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud remained on it, and the glory and brilliance of the Lord filled the tabernacle.”

As we gather:
·       Knit us together in mind
·       Manifest your glory, let your glory be evident
·       Prepare every heart and let your light shine
·       Fill every soul with the knowledge of your will
·       Come oh Lord in simplicity of your Word
·       Let your power consume the Resource Persons
